Slabbed examines the harassment of private citizens expressing their opinion on Jefferson Parish Corruption: Part 2

The post was insanely good except for one part but before we get to the post and part to which I refer, let’s visit with this New York Times story from 5 days ago:

The question is no longer who has been hacked. It’s who hasn’t?

The Washington Post can be added to the growing list of American news organizations whose computers have been penetrated by Chinese hackers.

After The New York Times reported on Wednesday that its computers as well as those of Bloomberg News had been attacked by Chinese hackers, The Wall Street Journal said on Thursday that it too had been a victim of Chinese cyberattacks.

The above illustrates the vulnerability of sophisticated corporate networks to hacking but we also learned that from News Corp in the UK in 2012.  I mention this because last month the Times Picayune’s Gordon Russell wrote a story on Fred Heebe’s witch hunt for a private citizen that used the guest computer at the International House Hotel to comment on NOLA.com about the scandal in Jefferson Parish, specifically Dutchie Connick’s role in the alleged conspiracy between the River Birch Landfill and the Broussard Administration to put in the fix in favor of River Birch and close the Parish’s own landfill.

And that brings me to that insanely good post I mentioned at the beginning as I have previously linked it twice on Slabbed, Jason Berry’s A corner piece of the commenter puzzle.  I featured that post in part 1 of this series and I need to feature it again to set up the balance of this post, which will be both long and thorough. Jason set up 4 possibilities which would explain how Fred Heebe ended up knowing the mystery commenters opined on Dutchie Connick from the International House computer along with the email address that he used to register with NOLA.com and I summarize:

1.  The IP information of this commenter was obtained from a second party marketer or vendor?……..
2.  Someone within the NOLA Media Group or Advanced Publications shared the IP and identifying information with Heebe’s defense team that allowed them to track the commenter back to the hotel………
3.  Advanced Publications/Nola.com servers were hacked………
4.  Heebe’s team somehow knew that the commenter was using the hotel’s computer already and they put a keystroke recorder on it in order to track down the exact time and date the commenter was using it……….

He then opines that the application of Occam’s Razor results in bullet point #2 being the most likely scenario. I disagree and will add a 5th possibility. None of the above. Let’s talk methane recovery and Peter Butler Jr. as we tie a few more things together: A River Birch Landfill / Jefferson Parish Corruption Update

Folks there is one document that my gabby cousin Slabb O’Leak laid on me that merits special attention because it relates to this ridiculously good post Whitmergate authored for Slabbed back in December 2010, which I have made sticky today for everyone’s use and reference.  You see when the politicos divided up their turf with respect to the River Birch Landfill everything was fair game and that would included the methane recovery contract, the main subject of ‘Gate’s post.

None of this is new, of course, and we’ve hashed it out more than a few times but the Butlers, Peter Sr. and Jr. are central characters in the River Birch narrative for Peter Sr was Jim Ward’s lawyer, until that is the FBI raided River Birch’s HQ after which Butler reportedly ceased practicing law.  Jr is board attorney at West Jeff Medical Center and has been a recurring character in our narrative whether Louisiana or Nova Scotia Canada.

Forgotten in the narrative is the Parish had existing contracts for all these services that were publicly bid in accordance with applicable state law at the Parish’s landfill.  Waste Management’s suit against the Parish and River Birch Landfill has gotten all the headlines but WM was not the only people unhappy with the way a solicitation for the disposal of woody waste morphed into an all-encompassing comprehensive waste disposal contract with River Birch that required the Parish to close their landfill and this is where we start today with the following dynamite document on that exact topic: Continue reading “Let’s talk methane recovery and Peter Butler Jr. as we tie a few more things together: A River Birch Landfill / Jefferson Parish Corruption Update”

Lets connect a few dots as we feature James Gill’s last column on Fred Heebe.

I have a small confession to make.  After I wrote yesterday’s posts Continue reading “Lets connect a few dots as we feature James Gill’s last column on Fred Heebe.”

Waste Management drops more nukes and files amended counterclaim. “The cat is out of the bag.”

Rut roh. But look at who the Judge and Magistrate are. Lemelle, who could fuck up a one man rock fight, and Roby, whose husband reportedly has been under investigation by the FBI, which is why she has recused herself from federal criminal matters.

I’ll let our readers identify the nukes including who has been left out and why that is important. Fire 1, Waste Management’s counterclaim, which could “cost Jefferson Parish millions” according to the consensus of the Slabbed legal team, especially as more of the shit house details come out on how the River Birch “fishing expedition” was conducted.

Fire 2: Like the FBI, Waste Management is firmly grabbing hold of Team Heebe’s balls.  Here is the River Birch motion to quash a Waste Management subpoena of their records.  I for one, would love to see the contents of the Dutchie Connick file identified in the Government’s filings in the related criminal investigation. Time will tell what River Birch is trying to hide from Waste Management in the civil case.

We’ll be doing a couple of follow-up posts as time allows.

The Mouton Indictment ripples across the media. Team FBI tightens its grip on Fred Heebe’s balls.

Make no mistake folks, this scandal will end up leading not only to John Alario but also to Former Gov Mike Foster, Billy Tauzin, David Vitter and likely Team Landrieu.   Steve Theriot and daughter Wanda were last seen with doughnut glaze on their chins.

Let’s kick off the coverage with Rich Rainey at the Times Picayune who did a great job connecting Mouton to Fred Heebe. It is an open secret that former Gov Mike Foster’s administration was openly for sale so this little gem from Murphy himself at the end of Rainey’s piece was priceless: Continue reading “The Mouton Indictment ripples across the media. Berrigan, that’s me.: Ol’ girl Ginger orders FBI to return docs to Team Heebe.

Wondering if this one will go to the 5th Circuit. Hat tip several readers, WWL TV and Rich Rainey at the T-P.

Slabb-a-leaks: PRR? Here at Slabbed we don

The second installment of meet Councilman Capella takes us from October 2009 to mid November, 2009. This portion of the inbox had lots of duplicity, some of which we edited out.  At 1,147 pages it is quite an interesting read and includes some of the internals from Team West Jefferson Medical Center when it was revealed that Tim Coulon, along with Wally Pontiff and Tim Whitmer were eating from the Lagniappe trough at the hospital. Enjoy!

This is gonna be a nasty fight: Team River Birch sues Uncle Sam.

Organized crime never goes away without a fight folks, but IMHO Team Heebe/Ward/River Birch has given the Slabbed Nation a great gift in that they filed suit against Team Letten wanting the stuff that was seized in the recent FBI raid back.  They seem a bit sore their consigliere Peter Butler’s legal work product was taken by the FBI but hey, these folks were the ones dumb enough to put it all on the same computer network.

Hat tip to Slabbed’s researcher for finding the suit, as we’re diligently googling to figure out how this major media personality I mentioned fits the puzzle.  This may require a return trip to Lafayette Square.

I might as well disclose the word I get is that this raid happened because the FBI was fearful evidence was on the verge of being destroyed. If that is the case then a reasonable inference is the FBI has a mole in the dump.

The only thing that gives me pause here is the suit has been assigned to Ginger Berrigan, who has never met a criminal or an insurance company she failed to like and is widely considered one of the worst judges in the LAED.

At 44 pages the suit is an illuminating read and contains a list of everything the FBI took last September from River Birch.

I hurt myself today to see if I still feel….

What have I become
My sweetest friend
Everyone I know goes away
In the end
And you could have it all
My empire of dirt
I will let you down
I will make you hurt
