Vandenweghe v The Parish of Jefferson is headed to trial

For true it is folks.  For purposes of this post please do not assume Ms Vandenweghe’s lawyer, Bobby Truitt has spoken with Slabbed on this subject because he hasn’t. That said there is some very interesting street talk over by the Super 8 Motel on Clearview Parkway concerning the witness list in the case, which … Continue reading “Vandenweghe v The Parish of Jefferson is headed to trial”

Civil District Court lawsuit filed by Concrete Busters against River Birch terms Trout Point Lodge Ltd. of Nova Scotia a “shell company”

They did folks. In fact Concrete Busters amended complaint filed Wednesday against The River Birch Landfill et al unifies several themes we’ve covered here on Slabbed through time. But alas those nasty Goatherders and I have an outstanding  matter in United States Federal District Court in Gulfport before Judge Louis Guirola that my lawyer, Bobby … Continue reading “Civil District Court lawsuit filed by Concrete Busters against River Birch terms Trout Point Lodge Ltd. of Nova Scotia a “shell company””

Remember that buzz I spoke of a few weeks ago? A superseding Indictment was unsealed today against Aaron Broussard and Tom Wilkinson

Here and here are a couple of places I alluded to what was coming in fact aside from the comment I left about the buzz. Aaron Broussard took $66,000 in bribes from a Kenner communication company, feds say I love the news media personalities that are involved with the company that allegedly paid Broussard those … Continue reading “Remember that buzz I spoke of a few weeks ago? File this one under they were ignorant until the very end…. (revised)

First the disclaimer. Attorney Bobby Truitt represents Slabbed in its free speech fight against Aaron Broussard’s former business associates at Trout Point Lodge. Second I contacted Mr. Truitt for comment on the following documents, which my Gabby cousin Slabb O’Leak laid on me yesterday and he declined. So folks to understand the significance of these documents and my post … Continue reading “File this one under they were ignorant until the very end…. (revised)”

“The Almighty says this must be a fashionable fight. It’s drawn the finest people.” Well maybe they’re not all ‘fine’ as Slabbed updates its SPEECH Act case against the Goatherders at Trout Point Lodge

They need to go into whatever Mississippi county court Slabbed is domiciled in. By doing so, they also opent themselves up to a reconventional demand for filing a frivolous lawsuit and any other sanction a state court may deem appropriate. How in the world are these bufoons going to find local counsel? Are they going to represent … Continue reading ““The Almighty says this must be a fashionable fight. Supporters of Good Government: You may have noticed in Saturday’s Times-Picayune that ex-Assistant Jefferson Parish Attorney Anne Marie Vandenweghe “has struck an arrangement with the parish attorney’s office to have her emails and a copy of the hard drive of her work computer returned to her,” according to her attorney, Bobby Truitt. This article may … Continue reading “Citizens for Good Government issues statement on the return of the Vandenweghe hard drive.”

Folks I shook the St Tammany tree and managed to confirm certain aspects of the story of 22nd JDC JudgeMary Devereux’s chambers leaking a confidential juvenile hearing transcript to Times Picayune reporter Claire Galofaro so I could not let the latest mention of this budding saga on the pages of the Times Picayune go unmentioned. This is … Continue reading “Please pardon my interjection. Juvenile Court isn’t cheap fodder for journalism. From the Busted Files (Updated)”

Slabbed News Miscellany: A week’s worth of Jefferson Parish news we broke on Slabbed plus the continued fight against conflicts of interest.

There have been several area news stories which touched upon topics we cover, including 2 stories we broke this past week in the request for resignations from unclassified Parish employees and Anne Marie Vandenweghe’s disappointing day in court. In going back through the week in news I thought WWL TV (Channel 4) was “there with the most” on these … Continue reading “Slabbed News Miscellany: A week’s worth of Jefferson Parish news we broke on Slabbed plus the continued fight against conflicts of interest.”
