    1. Yep and business at the ol' lodge evidently isn't doing well. Hey Jr check this out:

Litigious American ex-pat Trout Point Lodge proprietors Charles Leary and Vaughn Perret are at it again, and now they have Louisiana blogger Doug Handshoe in their sights.

You know me, I can not tell a lie:

“Have I been screwing with them? Of course I have,” Doug tells me via phone from Louisiana.

“I was prepared for this lawsuit. I was warned that I was going to be sued, and I consider this (lawsuit) a gift,” he says, adding that he’s re-posted much of the suit’s text to his website.

The ballsy blogger says he’s been all over the state searching for evidence of nefarious activities on the part of Chuck and Vaughn, and the suit is simply the culmination of his amateur gumshoe work.

“My blog is the search for the truth,” Doug bleats. “This is a constitutional issue, and in this case, the Constitution and the First Amendment are on my side.”

I hear there is more in the pipeline too. If it is true there is no such thing as bad publicity then the girls will be happy to see the latest issue of Frank Magazine. 😉

      sop

  1. Sop, save that Nova News article that Jr. cited above as it appears that the Canadian Government discontinued the ferry from Portland , Maine to Yarmouth in 2010. The result is you must drive six additional hours to another ferry and then after that ferry another two hours to arrive in Yarmouth.

Are the financial losses of the ferries due to loss of their ferry ? Sop, you are literally being made the scapegoat of the ferry problem in Yarmouth. Ain't that a parody in itself.

  2. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/life/travel/…/travel-ca...

I can't get the link to copy over but here is the latest travel piece put out on the Lodge by the Globe and Mail, and they are kind enough to state at the end of the article that their writer was a guest of the lodge, meaning comped, meaning free stay, and even with free thrown in, he makes it sound like it was a boring cold night in a jeep on an old airstrip with some guy droning on and on about star formations in the sky, buddy just glad to escape back to his room where he could flip through a magazine. Yawn. Can't see people wanting to rush on out given the ferry is no more, the drive is horrendous, it is a single lane highway drive most of the way down, few passing lanes, the fog makes it dicey at the best of times, no Sop, I don't think there is any chance a judge will find you and this blog guilty of taking away their customers. Between the negative reviews on Trip Advisor and the bad free press they get, can't see how they have much business to lose.
