Jefferson Parish Housing Authority appointment has history of consulting with authority’s contractors ~ Ben Myers

There is actually much that I could add but I won’t because once you say it all there is no sense rehashing things.

Meantime despite the lack of new content things have been busy:

For my part in the cultural exchange, I learned that good print journalists have the same jaded and cynical streak in Romania as here in the US.

After, I met with a couple of sources familiar with the Jefferson Parish political scene.  We have judicial and municipal elections in Jefferson Parish come November to go with the judicial and municipal elections here in Mississippi.  I have one story planned for a judicial race here on the coast and I will cover the Waveland School Board election.  The reader interest and engagement on all things locally political for this election cycle is coming from Jefferson Parish, where there is also lots of jockeying happening in advance of next year’s Parish and Statewide elections.

For now the Division O race in the 24th JDC has captured my attention.  The sagest of the political observers that speak with me indicate this race is Danyelle Taylor’s to lose and on its face that is somewhat strange given the field of candidates.

Finally David Christenson sent me a couple of letters he’s received from some of the locally notable incarcerated set.  David is convinced that Hurricane Katrina also heralded the birth of the Katrina virus and he has been hot on the trail since about 2010. That deserves it own post. Stay tuned.
