He was always a ham…….

I know there are some of you folks like James over at Opinionated Catholic that are scratching your heads trying to figure out how Dean Kelly has managed to stay outta the pen despite his many well documented scrapes with both the fairer sex and the law. Two things folks and the first one is Dean is a ham from way far back.  He’s incorrigible too.

Sex offender Dean Kelly feigned illness when arrested, doctors say ~ Claire Galofaro

The other part to the equation is that Dean traces his familial roots to the tomato selling business and in New Orleans, for a few generations now tomatoes selling has proven itself a lucrative business.  At this point it is not clear whether all the tomatoes in South Louisiana will help Dean, who still likely has sizable segments of the Tulane female student body fantasizing over strangling him.

This promises to be in the news cycle for a while. Stay tuned.

  1. I suggest the family or any family with such a problem consider long term care in Hattiesburg, Mississippi at Pine Grove. While the program is not necessarily a long term treatment facility I would imagine it would be a good first stop in such a treatment plan.

“It has been reported by WLBT News Channel 3 in Jackson from sources that (Tiger) Woods is checking himself into the Pine Grove Mental Health Facility for sex addiction. The Pine Grove Facility is one of the top three facilities in the country for sex addiction.”

I would add the additional help of Dr. Steve Southern of Jackson, Mississippi, who is associated with Masters and Johnsons in the area of sex therapy. While this help may be sought while he awaits the ruling of the Court, he would need Court approval for the transfer from the tax payers supported facility to this private pay system. Mr. Kelly could then be sent back to OPP and the Court could do with him as it pleases. I do not think Mr. Kelly would necessarily deserve to avoid his ten year sentence but at least this would provide the additional help which might prevent him from re-offending when he is released in 10 years (assuming the Court sentences him to the ten years). Now is the time to petition the Court and from a punishment perspective if he is not given any credit toward his jail time this would at least serve to keep him out of the general population that much longer. I would imagine a 6 week stay at Pine Grove followed up by a very long term inpatient stay a long term care facility would be of help to all in involved.
Again the goal should not be to afford Mr. Kelly an avenue of escaping jail, but to afford society a longer period of having him removed from the general population and reduce the likelihood he will re-offend when released from his sentence of hard time in jail.

    Again
    1. Pine Grove
    2. Steve Southern for case management and long term individual care.
    3. Long term residential treatment.
    4. Full jail time.
    5 Post jail sex treatment.

Anything less will only serve to add risk to the community which has already suffered enough from Mr. Kelly.
