They did folks. In fact Concrete Busters amended complaint filed Wednesday against The River Birch Landfill et al unifies several themes we’ve covered here on Slabbed through time. But alas those nasty Goatherders and I have an outstanding matter in United States Federal District Court in Gulfport before Judge Louis Guirola that my lawyer, Bobby Truitt has me barred from commenting upon. But that does not mean that we can’t let Concrete Busters tell part of that story as I invite everyone to consider the implications for quarter 4 sales for the good folks over at Carmex. Let’s start with this snippet from the beginning of the suit:
Short and sweet folks: Three cases and we’ve covered them all.
The suit the Parish filed against certain media outlets to clarify which grand jury documents the media would receive pursuant to media public records requests. The decisions made with respect to the outcome of this litigation is a key precursor to Slabb O’Leaks where we periodically publish the emails of certain parish council members from around the general time frame when the insurance portion of the Jefferson Parish political corruption scandal broke. This suit deals with the public records law and the media outlets were defended by Phelps Dunbar.
Here is a bit of background courtesy of Anne Marie Vandenweghe:
I received three responses to my PRR 441-10 for all Parish Attorney Organizational Charts from 1990 to present.
Mary Galley’s response ( Her title is listed SECRETARY TO PARISH ATTORNEY); Certification dated 03/04/2010
Chris Gillen’s response ( His title is listed ASSISTANT TO PARISH ATTORNEY); Certification dated 03/04/2010
Peggy Barton’s response ( Who at the time was ACTING PARISH ATTORNEY); Certification dated 03/05/2010
At the beginning of January 2010 as the paralegal issue flared up Val Bracy had requested the same thing and in gathering the responses for Val’s PRR I discovered that one day after the PRR came in Peggy Barton had revised the chart by removing the paralegals from under her supervision. The box(es) with Karen Parker Broussard had disappeared. Barton did not supply any other chart(s) in response, just the one she had manipulated.
OK folks, I’ve seen all three PRR responses. Mary Galley’s response had all the org charts contained in Gillen’s and Barton’s response. Now flip through the Scribd embed following and follow the bouncing Broussard until poof, she disappears. Continue reading “Follow the bouncing Broussard……..”
Team AMV evidently has problems with nonresponsive public records requests with the gang over at the Yenni building. She would like her work computer back and a copy of her work emails. I’ll add such should be relatively straightforward as the Parish uses Microsoft Exchange to handle their email system.
