Happy New Year to the Slabbed Nation

Hi folks and a happy conclusion to the holiday season to all.  I thought going into the past two weeks that I’d post some over the holidays but I ended up going offline for the most part. It was nice to get away from Slabbed for a few days.

In any event I’m back sporadically today so lets consider this an open thread.

  1. I too would like too wish all of the Slabbed Nation a Happy New Year. Yes Sop it is good to get away from DC, and meeting up with family on the South Coast for the holidays has been enjoyable. ‘Gate and I have been taking advantage of the rather mild weather with sailing and tennis. I only wish I could have been in New Orleans on the Courthouse steps Dec. 2 as Mr. Letten made his announcement relative to the current status of the Jefferson Parish Scandals, as follows:

First, the handing down of the payroll fraud indictment against Mr.Broussard, Mr.Wilkinson and Ms.Parker is like the best of Christmas presents. I believe ‘Gate is still in shock that two of the most prominent white Jefferson Parish Politico Mafioso, Broussard and Wilkinson, were in fact ‘brought to the woodshed’, and will face prosecution.

Secondly, and to me much more important, was Mr. Letten’s collateral reporting on behalf of the Justice Department in DC that New Orleans Special Agent in Charge, Mr. David W. Welker, was exempted from his mandatory retirement due date, and will continue to direct the Jefferson Parish Scandals Investigation that he initiated, until concluded to his satisfaction. Personally I feel my wish for the New Year has been granted with this news, and the Rebel Yell is flowing as I write. This cannot be good news for our thug friends, as the sure and methodical process demanded by Mr.Welker of his field agents continue to map the imbedded corruption by these Jefferson Parish Politico Mafioso toward future indictments.

  2. A toast mon cousin … of course we here at the SlabbedNation are going to have a Happy New Year … there will be further indictment festivities that we can relish in as the year progresses …

And I will continue to pound these Jefferson Parish Politico Mafioso until the FEDs cannot ignore the likes of Peggy Barton, Deano Bonano, Charlie Knopp, David Fos, Alan Gandolfi, Nancy Cassange, Peter Butler, Jr., Louis Gruntz and of course Tim Whitmer and his remaining possee, Tim Coulon and his son Chris … possibly we will see the names of mini-me Roberts, Elton Lagasse and his Barry Bordelon, Byron Lee … and God forbid, their ‘Don’, DA Paul Connick, Jr. !!!

And let’s all wish Sop a very, very, very prosperous New Year so he can continue to afford to operate this ‘beacon of free speech’ from his lighthouse on the South Coast …

  3. To Enema Girl : In the new year with all the economic and personal doubts facing us you must seriously stop and ask yourself the question, "To Fleet or not to Fleet, that is the question?"

And thanks for the candid Bush photograph which explains why the Bushes went to the Texas ranch so much and why George rode his tractor for hours clearing all that to find his way around down there. It also gives new meaning to the Aussie phrase of, "Down in the Bush".

  4. New Year resolutions that I believe Parish President Young should implement on behalf of the taxpayers of Jefferson Parish:

    1) Fire Peggy Barton, Louis Gruntz, David Fos and anyone else who was part of the Wilkinson posse … you know who they are …

    2) Direct your Parish Attorney’s Office to file lawsuits to recover any and all Taxpayers’ monies that have been paid to any one or any entity based upon fraud, deception, abuse of power, violation of ethical rules and/or in violation of Parish and State Laws… Think Whitmer, Wilkinson, Cassange, Hubbard etc …

    3) Direct your Parish Attorney’s Office to file malpractice suits against all lawyers including, Tom Wilkinson, David Fos, Alan Gandolfi, Micheal Peytavin (Gaudry and Ranson) and Phelps, Dunbar who received payment of fees in any manner whatsoever relating to River Birch…and sue River Birch for both damages and attorneys’ fees (Anzelmo) and the costs of any and all studies relating to River Birch …

    4) Direct your Parish Attorney’s Office to file a malpractice suit against Phelps, Dunbar to recover all fees paid relating to their failure to do diligence in all matters relating to AMV … think PRR case, AMV vs JP, that has cost the Parish over $130,000 and the Parish LOST …

    5) Direct your Parish Attorney’s Office to review all litigation the Parish is a party to, either as plaintiff or defendant, to determine what should be mediated, negotiated for settlement or litigated … I suspect that Ms. Foshee, in fulfilling her duty of due diligence relating to these matters may well save the taxpayers millions that would otherwise be paid in unwarranted billings by appointed outside counsel … plus mitigating the amount of money that will be paid in damages …think AMV, Waste Management, Concrete Busters etc …

    6) Co-operate fully with the FBI and US Attorney’s Office relating to any and all matters concerning the egregious boondoggle known as the Jefferson Parish Performing Arts Center so that the taxpayers will at least have the satisfaction that all persons who conspired in this fraudulent and corrupt construction scam will be indicted while we are told that more of our monies are being thrown down the drain to complete this white elephant …

    7) Insure that the appointment process as spelled out as to whom can and/or will be named Inspector General is both transparent and free of any political back room shenanigans.

    8) Review any and all consulting contracts that reek of ‘quid pro quo’… suspect of being awarded due to campaign contributions even if monies where contributed to you … eliminating contracts such as the one JP has had with BBE&C and Adams and Reese (Chris and Tim Coulon) … begin with culling out these two contracts… such action would be a sign to both the taxpayers and other contractors that you will begin to curb the current corrupt practices that are now part of the on-going Federal Investigations …

    9) Tell mini-me Roberts, LargeASS and the rest of your former colleagues that the past is past and that you know longer will go along with their BS … Be a man Mr. Young… your redemption can be achieved by publicly apologizing for some of your misguided votes and conduct while on the Council, starting with your support of River Birch and your retaliatory actions against AMV.

    10) Live this daily … DOING THE RIGHT THING, IS ALWAYS THE RIGHT THING TO DO …

  5. AND GOOD RIDDANCE !!!

To assign your top investigative reporter to do a puff profile piece about an un-elected political hack whore appointed to the Council to serve as mini-me’s mouthpiece (probably in more ways than one), Mike ‘da thief’ Thomas, who wormed his way up Capella’s ass to be hired as his Council Assistant, is well, another disturbing sign of the continuing decline of journalistic professionalism at the top of Times-Picayune ownership ladder on down…

More firebrand than seat-warmer, Mike Thomas leaves Jefferson Parish Council
    Published: Sunday, January 01, 2012, 9:00 AM
By Richard Rainey, The Times-Picayune http://www.nola.com/politics/index.ssf/2012/01/mo

So let’s critique this article, shall we:

    1) “ … he pledged not to be a seat-warmer. So instead, he became a firebrand…”

The truth is ‘da thief’ is an arrogant, rude and incompetent punk … in fact he is both Capella’s and Roberts’ shared punk … first thing after being sworn in, he hires one of Porteous’s sons, who had been a fraternity brother of his, to accommodate Jack Capella getting him off the payroll at one of John Georges’s companies Jack allegedly runs (I got a good picture of that cluster fuck) …

    2) “…At his first meeting in May, Thomas went after Parish President John Young over an issue as close to a sacred cow as you can get in parish politics: the creation of an inspector general's office…”

Now he becomes mini-me Roberts’ ass-wipe puppet, the front dog to attack Young’s Administrative adopted reform initiatives such as the Inspector General … sucking up mini-me’s gas at 5 AM, he becomes the devil’s advocate in voicing faux reform platforms and concerns …

    3) “… The same law that banned him from running for the seat he occupied, in a way, freed him from pulling punches. And he took advantage …"Every government needs check and balances," Thomas said. "I did some of that." …

Given Mike ‘da thief’ Thomas’s questionable conduct concerning his dealing with Parish money in the past, I would think it would be appropriate to order an audit of his receiving checks or authorizing checks to be issued and any other financial matters he may have been involved with while sitting on his Clown seat as it concerns the bank balance of the Parish …

    4) “…Thomas used a gimmick to hammer the administration… "To my surprise, they told me their contract with the parish expired yesterday and they no longer represent us."… Thomas knew before the meeting that the contract was going to expire …"The issue I had is they knew about (the contract expiration), which was the day before, (but) they didn't call me or Chris Roberts," Thomas said…”

What the ‘da thief’ and the reporter fail to tell you is that Young was in Washington meeting with FEMA and doing his job as CEO of the Parish; the lobbyist is Chris Coulon, another fraternity brother of his … and paying his blow buddy Chris (and his father Tim) was totally unnecessary and just another way to funnel money to these corrupt MFers …and why would Young need to call these thugs anyway since his Administration apparently made a sane decision not to renew what they didn’t need in the first place … like Phelps Dunbar, Adams and Reese are a bunch of incompetent sleezeballs robbing the taxpayer’s largasse with big fees for little or no results …

    5) “…Thomas said he will return to his private law practice when the new council takes the oath of office in January… “

What private law practice?… the mendacity ! … ‘da thief’ has been at the public teat for a good while now… practice law ? … not unless he is being put on a fast track to be made a lackey junior partner at Phelps, Dunbar to service the Satan’s Sistas, Kim and Nan …actually he would be a good fit having held hands with them in the case the Parish lost to AMV concerning her right to get her e-mails under the Public Records law … he’s just as incompetent, morally deficient and shameless as they are …

    6) “…he said, with the biggest surprise being the sight of his name in the newspaper on a regular basis…he said he has every aspiration to run for an elected post sometime in the future….
"If all the stars line up, then I would love to serve again," he said. "But you never know."

God help us if this politico thug would ever get elected to office … he’ll serve himself and his campaign contributors … I would love to see is his name in the paper as another indicted corrupt Jefferson Parish thug watching the stars from his prison window !!!

The real crime is that this POS will probably be re-appointed to a position that the Council controls or they will create one as they did for that sorry ass ignorant piss ant Greg Giangrosso at $125,000 dollars … it’s thievery, that’s what it is, just plain thievery …

  6. "Doing the right thing is always the right thing to do." I like that motto. I might comment on the rest of the posts if I were not still knocked over by the notion of someone who brazenly describes herself as "EnemaGirl". Whatever floats yer boat, kid. I don't need another New Year's hangover to remind me that I'm old.

  7. anonomouse … Attribution of the phrase 'doing the right thing is always the right thing to do' should go to unslabbed and I apologize for the oversight. It is a motto not only to like, but to guide our conduct.
