Slabbed joins NOLA.com | The Times Picayune in remembering the fall of Aaron Broussard plus five

I have so many nuggets that never went down into the memory hole like the following and boy howdy does the gang get themselves in trouble telling all sorts of whoppers! Threatened with a foreign defamation lawsuit in a noted area for libel tourism before the passage of the SPEECH Act the Times Picayune ran away from the libel terrorists at Trout Point Lodge like scared school girls. Five years ago plus one day an interview of Aaron Broussard was run on Fox 8 where he was challenged over what we now know to be criminal activity with certain Parish venders using his property at the Trout Point Lodge in Canada to conceal it. Five years ago today Broussard resigned in disgrace. Today he is in the Federal Pen with his buddies in Canada known as “ememies of the free press” and noted libel terrorists.

One media outlet stood tall in the face of this litigation terrorism and that would be Slabbed New Media. Enjoy.

Trout Point Lodge loses big again in the US Courts, lawsuit against former attorney dismissed with prejudice

By my tally the litigious trio owners of Trout Point Lodge still owe their former lawyer Henry Laird at Jones Walker $97,000 or so.  Since the gang voluntarily availed themselves of the New Orleans CDC to sue Jones Walker, I would posit the firm has its choice of legal venue should they institute legal action to collect their unpaid fees.

I attended the hearing back on July 29th and saw the spectacle first hand.  Danny Abel for Trout Point Lodge, as is his habit and custom, was distributing legal briefs that were due 7 days before. He also, as is his history, habit and custom accused Jones Walker’s lawyer Dan Lund of perpetrating “a fraud upon the court”.  Lund is a seasoned litigator and he expertly dismantled Trout Point Lodge’s attempt to scapegoat their former lawyer for Slabbed’s historic precedent setting victory for the First Amendment and Journalism in the Public Interest over the SLAPP happy Aaron Broussard stooges from Nova Scotia Canada.

The Leary, Perret and the Lodge’s petitions are so infantile and self contradictory only hayseeds 2000 miles away in Nova Scotia take them seriously.

The allegations of fraud are priceless folks. Business must be bad for the gang at the Lodge because the Civil District Cost Docket indicates the court fees were short paid. Of course, in Randall Cajun’s fantasy world Slabbed’s precedent setting SPEECH Act victory over these SLAPP Happy nuts occurred in New Orleans instead of Gulfport. They also conveniently ignore the fact their Nova Scotia lawsuits were so poorly plead the court concluded they could never win a default here in the US with such deficient, infantile pleadings. The judicial beatdown frankly could not have been worse for them but that is their own fault. As for Slabbed, we remain the champs. I know Lund from his work in construction law. He has a good reputation among his peers and should do an exemplary job for the Louisiana portion of the Jones Walker malpractice saga. Louisiana portion??? Yep but before I get to that I have this:

Here is the deal folks. The plaintiff’s contract was with a Mississippi lawyer working on a Mississippi court case thus there is no connection to the forum to which the suit was shopped. In fact there is only one court that really has jurisdiction over this matter far as I can see and luckily for everyone less than seven months ago Judge Susie Morgan issued a quality opinion that gives the answer. Randall Cajun of Trout Point Lodge gets nuttier and nuttier, files suit against Jones Walker and coast attorney Henry Laird

I could be wrong folks but it looks like the Goatherders are attempting to retry their resounding SPEECH Act loss to me in Federal Court in the New Orleans CDC.  This suit is ill advised on so many levels to the point where I am giddy with anticipation.
