Garlandfill wants everyone to know he’s not a Heebe media shill

The problem, of course, is I think only his wifey Nancy Rhett believes him.

Fred Heebe’s River Birch Inc. takes ownership of controversial Garland Robinette property ~ Manuel Torres

The reader comments sum things up nicely. I’ll add I contacted the FCC after the T-P put all the meat on the bones of a story Slabbed broke in December 2010 (on the down low) in the Robinette Federal grand jury subpoena as it is very clear the people at Entercom Communication’s WWL AM/FM are not to be trusted to report news in the public interest.

Garlandfill’s microphone cost a man of Fred Heebe’s wealth a relative pittance and at scandals end it is the briefcase boy that ended up with a lifelong case of the mookie stinks. It is a recurring theme in the human condition.

What do the New Orleans Saints, Aaron Broussard and Fred Heebe have in common?

Besides Tom Bensen’s prior socio-economic connections to Broussard that is. Simple folks Entercom’s WWL Big 870 Payola Radio.  Coastal Shoring relentlessly advertises there, with Garland Robinette doing some of the voice work for them while taking a so-called $250,000 loan from Fred Heebe, a man who Stephanie Grace wrote an excellent columnn on yesterday as it related to the latest bombshell of Heebe walking away from the Jefferson Parish Landfill contract.  Connecting a corrupt media outlet to the cesspool is nothing new folks as it happens in comments to almost every T-P column written on Heebe anymore and rightfully so.  Robinette is a whore for certain folks but he is also something worse for WWL and everyone that works there including the Cajun Cannon as Garlandfill is also cancer of the type that will end up afflicting everyone associated with the station, which does not operate in the public interest.

I still listen on occasion folks as I have a duty to listen. That said having to listen to Hokie is almost on par with water boarding.  Now when I listen in I try to figure out the non disclosed financial relationships that impacts their content.  And I especially enjoyed Rich Mauti’s heartfelt segment on Jerry Sandusky where he mentioned the failure of our institutions citing the political corruption scandal in Jefferson Parish as an example before he was quickly herded back onto the reservations by Deke Beleiva, who is better than Hokie but still hard to listen to most of the time. Whew that was close one with Mauti eh Deke? Continue reading “What do the New Orleans Saints, Aaron Broussard and Fred Heebe have in common?”

We have several items of interest floating about….

I’m literally going to be from one end of South Mississippi to the other today so I have little to no time for blogging but here is a post for everyone so moved to comment. Here are a couple of items I know are floating about:

Dominick Fazzio’s lawyer has a serious conflict of interest and all the BS about River Birch not paying for Fazzio’s legal team has been exposed as just that, bullshit.

Garlandfill Robinette being a payola fueled whore on Entercom Communications remains in the news as we receive word he gave Fred Heebe the lot he claims secured the nonexistent $250,000 loan he got from Heebe in exchange for shilling for River Birch after Katrina.  We know from the wiretap transcripts Fazzio never issued a 1099 to tax report the payments to Henry Mouton and I bet Garlandfill was both written off as an expense on the River Birch side and also not tax reported.  Predictably when it smells extra bad and there is publicity to be had, legal apologist Dane Ciolino will be about like a fly on shit pretending to be an ethics expert. The self serving rationalization he posits on Robinette’s role in the River Birch saga are stunningly dishonest folks as I’ll note Ciolino was one of Tim Whitmer’s early legal shills.  I think Dane and Garland must certainly get on well.

Jason over at American Zombie has rolled out an excellent post on the Camsoft suit in Baton Rouge.  Sometimes you have to travel to another state to find out what is going on in your own but Chip Reno over at the Jackson Mississippi based Talon Group has come up a time or two dating back to Mark St Pierre’s trial.  I’m going to have something on the same pleading with some luck but I’ll note for now that Reno and our own Gov elect Phildo Bryant are joined at the hip.  I understand Reno is a former Jackson City Councilman but what interest me the most is the cross-pollination he has going with Phildo.  Make no mistake the role Reno played in the techno fleecing of the City of New Orleans is major deal.  Here is a snippet from the Zombie:

How…for the love of Dambala…..how….the fuck…..is Ed Burns not in jail? How did Ciber completely skate out of this bullshit? They hired Reno and The Talon Group to pimp their private services but instead of paying for it…they bundled the cost of the Talon Group’s services into the City of New Orleans tab….the 56 million dollar tab. The Times Picayune rolls out more coverage of the Waste Management suit against River Birch

And the story written by Paul Rioux and Frank Donze advanced yesterday’s reporting by including quotes from team Willard-Lewis, who deny being whores for Team River Birch. But it was the comments to the story that really jogged my memory folks.

Jason Berry over American Zombie and I don’t personally visit nearly enough, but we’re taking leads from differing sources that appear to be pushing us both toward the same end game.  Along those lines Jason’s post from June of this past year, Let’s call it a rattlesnake rodeo is such an example folks and in light of current events it is a must read. Put another way we are not coordinating our coverage but it appears the bloggers have a pincer movement of sorts going with Slabbed coming in from Jefferson Parish and Jason from Orleans and both of us are closing in on 5531 St Charles Avenue.

In her column today Stephanie Grace tackles the topic of renaming the Danziger Bridge in favor of the innocent people who were gunned down in cold blood by the NOPD after Katrina. That event will go down as the one that changed local perceptions of the NOPD forever as citizens are demanding change and will accept nothing less than a complete overall of NOPD.  I mention this because at the end of what we call the Jefferson Parish Political Corruption Scandal I can easily imagine that perceptions of the people and institutions that are front and center in running this entire area will be forever altered as the puppet masters and the media outlets on their string such Entercom Communications WWL Radio are revealed as filthy accomplices to the systemic corruption that has plagued this area for generations. The institutions include the Federal Courthouse on Poydras Street too, which has produced luminaries like Thomas Porteous and the corrupt judge he replaced in Robert Collins as we find the past lives to this day in the present.
