I’m blessed to know several Cuban-Americans from South Florida and have been told Jose Mas along with his brother Jorge have appeared with and now endorsed Barack Obama for President. Nate Silver at his Five Thirty Eight blog has Florida leaning Dem. Without the normally conservative leaning Cuban Community McCain has no chance there.
Not that all Cuban-Americans agree of course. However their strength has always been in block voting. This year, my friends in South Florida are joining Sop in telling the Gop to take a hike. Something about immigration, xenophobia and racism along with a healthy dose of bad economy and Iraq……go figure.
