House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other Democratic leaders are expected to attend a town hall meeting on insurance at 5:30 p.m. Monday in Bay St. Louis.
U.S. Rep. Gene Taylor, D-Bay St. Louis, will host this third annual meeting. Taylor is serving on a conference committee that is working on a bill to offer wind insurance through the National Flood Insurance Program.
A panel speaking at the meeting will include homeowners, a builder and others who will talk about insurance problems after Hurricane Katrina. Taylor’s office said he is continuing to document the need for a federal multiple-peril insurance policy.
The delegation also will include House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md., Majority Whip Jim Clyburn, D-S.C., and other members of Congress. Before the Town Hall Meeting at Our Lady of the Gulf on Beach Boulevard, the group will tour Louisiana and Mississippi to see how recovery is progressing.

I would be pretty darn sure Sop will be there. It certainly seems like the place to be on Monday @ 5:30.
I’m going for certain. OLG is on Beach Blvd. On Highway 90 coming from the east cross the bridge and make the first left on Beach Blvd. Continue to just past the rail road tracks. The community center is next to the church.
