Slabbed makes the following endorsements in the 2015 Mississippi Primary Election

The main one being to go vote on Tuesday. Even better would be to harass your registered but nonvoting friends to make sure they vote as well. With the various and sundry displays of disregard for their own constituents well chronicled on these pages and across the local media going back almost two years now, how anyone would stay home on Tuesday is mind boggling to me. As it stands currently convention wisdom is only two incumbent Supervisor stand a real chance at losing their jobs in Jackson County. A 60% turnout in Jackson County would be an incumbent supervisor’s worst nightmare in my opinion.

I’d also like to second the reader comment on the Supervisor McKay’s North Vancleave lake to vote in the GOP primary.  Mississippi, just like the old days, is a virtual one political party state the only difference being the political party has changed.

  1. Don’t have much time to write today…running late…
But at the risk of using Slabbed as a pulpit today, I felt inclined to post the following for you all to ponder:

    Matthew 7:15 –

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. You shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree brings forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree brings forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that brings not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Why by their fruits you shall know them. Not every one that said to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name? and in your name have cast out devils? and in your name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess to them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity.

Since all of our elected officials claim to be Christians, I am sure that they should know this passage from the Christian Bible. Maybe??

  2. I am making my rounds in “South”Vancleave this morning. I decided to make me some signs last night and have been stopping at various places and getting out holding up my sign. One side says VOTE INCUMBENTS OUT and the other side says NO WAY MCKAY. I hope no one minds my use of the McKay phrase.I do not know who came up with it but it sure looks good on a sign. I am getting all kinds of horn blowing and people yelling things like “We are with you” and “You are right”. A couple of people have even stopped by my truck to chat about what has gone on in our county. I am enjoying the pleasant weather and attention my signs are getting. We can all still make our vote count my times over by contacting everybody you know and remind them about the problems going on in our county and state. Please do so. John McKay is easy to expose and I firmly believe he will be voted out on Tuesday. I think his illegal dirt pit Slabbed exposed is a great example of his underhanded deals. He has many. The more I study him the more I do not think he is deserving of even being something my cows would crap on. He has been dishonest in many ways to the people in all of Jackson County but in particular the good folks in Vancleave. He has tried to divide us using redistricting but he failed. Those who no longer can vote against him because he had the lines moved need to call those who still have the power to vote him out. His illegal dirt pit conspiracy is one reason to get him gone. The Singing River Hospital System problems and the supervisors not providing the oversight that is required by law is another reason he and the others should be fired on Tuesday. We have 4 more days to make this happen. I am going back to my sign duty for now.

  3. K-Talley

I beleive I can claim being the originator of the term NO WAY MCKAY with respect to the supervisor elections in Jackson county. There have been other great quotes posted here on Slabbed also.

I certainly don’t mind at all and I would encourage anyone to use it at will if they desire. I would love to see it on the front page of the SH in large-bold-CAPS–something like this in Wednesdays paper

    District 5 says thanks but,
    NO-WAY-MCKAY!!!

Maybe I’ll take a stroll through “South Cleave” to see the signs in person. No doubt they will look good and I thank you for your work and keeping the rest of us informed.

  4. Thanks Eye-Spy. The sign is getting lots of responses anywhere you hold it up on Highway 57. Somebody came by a while ago and took several pictures of me with the sign. I bet it was that Glen Mallette bunch. They are the only ones I can find up this way that support McKay. Of course they are probably his biggest donors and no telling what the paving in District 5 brings in at Mallette Brothers. Of course for years the supervisors all got 10% kicked back as a “commission”. Now they call it campaign donations and a lot of that is cash I bet. I have tried hard to find anyone else that supports Dirty Pit McKay but cannot.I am looking for a good debate which I would win hands down because I got the truth about him memorized. I just hope whoever beats him does so without a runoff. I don’t know if my old heart can take it up a notch for another 3 weeks. And my cows are starting to need the ticks picked but I will stay on this until blood sucking McKay is dealt with, I promise.

    1. Thanks again for your hard work against the regime. I had planned on driving up that way but I got caught up with errands.

      NO WAY MCKAY!!!

  5. I know this isn’t the right area to post this information, but this was the last post and I think it needs attention.
Conflict: Anita Lee reported that Stacey Pickering demanded $500K+ restituion from Bill Walker in a 2014 SH article. Now comes Pickering’s report saying that Bill Walker only owed $300K+ restitution. Which one is it?? Maybe the SH could contact Pickering and see if his office has made a mistake???? That is a lot of $$ cut off of an already skimpy fine.

    1. Charlene,

      That is an outstanding question.

I know some time ago Doug posted a story in regards to Pickerings “fuzzy math” on a particular matter so I doubt much has changed with Pickerings day to day activities.

A glory and publicity hound by nature, I am actually surprised Bitch Boy Pickering has not broadcasted weekly on the incoming funds from the DMR crooks he put away. Broadcasted by way of a $50k MS Excel file provided by the Frontier boys.

Perhaps there is something behind his silence. His silence has been going on for awhile based on these two stories.

      http://www.sunherald.com/2015/07/31/6346034/dmr-scandal-how-much-paid-back.html

Perhaps he is keeping quiet to protect the Hebert Republican Elite or to save face from a failed and defunct investigation.

  6. Here are the references to the posting above:

Auditor still mum on DMR case, but restitution dollars trickling in (June 28, 2014 by Anita Lee)

“Bill Walker must pay $572,689.14. The amount paid, if any, is not included in the public file in federal court, but records do say after he finishes a five-year prison sentence, Walker must pay $5,000 a month until restitution is complete.”

DMR scandal: How much has been paid back? (July 31, 2015) – SH

“Listed below are outstanding restitution demands issued in November 2013 by the State Auditor’s Office, which conducted the state investigation.
Former Director Bill Walker: $362,689.14 demanded; $110.81 paid; $362.578.33 owed.”

    1. Charlene,

You beat me to the punch on the same SH story. Hehe.

What the public and media need to do is ask the Auditor for the status of the paybacks and any other action taken or performed on behalf of the OSA to recover this money.

We need answers. This is our hard earned money!!!!!

      1. An observation on the varying amounts of restitution cited above in Charlene Silkwooder’s 9:58 pm comment.

The linked Sun Herald story dated July 31 2015 does indeed have the sentence:

Former Director Bill Walker: $362,689.14 demanded; $110.81 paid; $362.578.33 owed

It also has an additional sentence toward the bottom:

Businessman Scott Walker, son of Bill Walker: Ordered to repay $180,000 jointly with Janus, and $210,000 jointly with Bill Walker; $390,000 total.

So restitution of $210,000 is jointly demanded from Bill Walker with his son which is a separate demand from the individual restitution demand of $362,689.14.

Addition: $362,689.14 + $210,000.00 = $572,689.14. This is the amount reported as the demand in the first linked Sun Herald article dated June 28, 2014:

        Bill Walker must pay $572,689.14.

        1. Thanks for clearing that up, rfp. You must be a CPA???? Just wasn’t clearly explained in Mr. Pickering’s list of restitution demands. I thought that there were some federal charges upcoming also, but it appears that maybe they were dropped? Nothing else was ever said about that, but I do know that the FEDS did a timely investigation and then suddenly – silence. It is all so strange.

          1. Not a CPA.

But…I recently spent the night at a Holiday Inn Express where I had a revelation. The chances that any of the fatcat convicts pay their restitution in full is probably about as close to zero as you can get. You can’t never say never, but they’se got fancy cars to drive and large houses to be keepin’ up with the Barbours and fundraisers and all.

    2. Charlene.

Maybe someone needs to contact Mary Hawkins Butler about this issue of concern. Hmmmmmm

I bet she could pry some answers after her performance at the fair.

      1. I am not familiar with Ms. Hawkins, but hey, nothing could be worse that what we have had to put up with for the past few years. I have never, and I mean never, seen such “overlooking” and “turning a blind eye to” misappropriation of Taxpayer funds by elected officals who are supposed to be above reproach. They wolves in sheep’s clothing should be punished twice as much as the average crook because they betrayed the Public trust (who by the way, are their employers). It is amazing to me that these crooked scums have the guts to even employ attorneys!!! It is just unbelievable!!! They really think they are Gods and haven’t done anything wrong! (or are entitled to do as they please with no repercussion). And of course, the attorneys who sink so low to represent these liars are probably in on the take too. Honest attorneys would not look at these scum twice. And part of the large network involved in these scandals is MADE UP of these same attorneys on the take, and that is why most people are afraid to give the CONProfits any trouble and just run and hide.
But, there is such a thing as right and wrong. And this world is in big trouble. And these thugs aren’t Gods – not even close. If the people that they have stepped on would do the right thing and stand up to them, they could all be sunk. I can tell you, they are all AFRAID of this election and are shaking in their drawers (and probably leaving tire tracks in them); and they may be able to buy their way out of this election, or put the fix in, but we all know them now and know what they stand for – and it is NOT their constituents, but rather their puppet masters.
I choose to do the right thing and live by God’s laws – MY GOD – not theirs–who, BTW, I believe to be the direct opposite of mine.

    3. I think a comment bump may be in order Charlene. I have been consulted by a lawyer for one of the defendants mentioned in that 7-31 SH story so I’m not comfortable addressing this issue on Slabbed.

      1. I’m not sure what you want Doug. It looks like to me that the SH put in the public newspaper what Bill Walker was supposed to pay back to the public and I put the link to it.
Then, I put the link to the second article that the SH printed in the public newspaper of Stacey Pickering’s listing of what has been paid back so far. And 1 + 1 does not equal 2. Someone has some ‘splainin’ to do. All the “attorney”? or “representative” has to do is check out the two links that I referenced. It is there in black and white for the world to see.
        Hope I answered your questions….

      2. Can he read the English language?? It is all there in black and white. No surprises or secrets. It is public record.

        1. Charlene,

If Doug spoke to a lawyer regarding a situation like this I would at least assume something big is cooking.

What we need is for Pickering to grow a set of balls and keep the public informed of whats going on. After all, it was a big publicity stunt and he is the one who “cleaned up” the “Culture of Corruption” with his gun slinging auditors. Of course, I would not expect much from Bill or Scott Walker since they are in jail and are incapable of generating and income to pay the debt.

A simple request to the state auditor should be sufficient enough to provide an answer to your question. I am quite sure Pickering would be more than happy to broadcast anything that keeps him looking good.

            1. Let me clarify. The intent of my response to Charlene had nothing to do with mix-matched figures that RFP clarified. It pertained to who has actually paid–anyone who was charged. Pickering should be able to provide this information and give the latest update on all listed in the SH story.

      3. Once again Doug, I apologize if I have caused you any problems…it was not my intention….just stating public facts. RFP solved the riddle for us. Inquiring minds HAVE A RIGHT to know where their money is being squandered.

        1. Charlene,

There is something up here and I don’t know what it is. You are exactly right about inquiring minds. The public needs to know whats going on. Is there something Pickering is trying to conceal or perhaps cover up? If its DMR related, you can bet your ass there is something jacked up going on behind the scenes.

Maybe the Sun Herald can send in the video team to get some answers like they did with Miller and Scallan a while back. Yep, that would solve this shit real quick.

        2. No problem Charlene. I keep the CPA business off these pages. Once I agreed to help out my ability to blog on the same subject is gone. I don’t mind y’all talking about it though.

  7. Stacey Pickering is no different than the Chris Anderson guy who was the CEO over at the Jackson County hospital. They just want to book numbers. $88 million in bad debt at the hospital left in the accounts receivable column for years is no different than $363,000 Bill Walker will never pay or many others for that matter. We all should have know Pickering was full of crap when he gave the Marine Resources Foundation a formal demand for repayment of $1,074,519.97 and then took two 30 year old boats in exchange for the money misused. He then claimed to have recovered $296,096.60 in this matter which he shows in the 2013 Exceptions Report. He says in the statement included that the amount of insurance on the boats was $350,000 and $284,000 and that somehow determined the value of each old boat. DUMB,DUMB,DUMB.These high values were set and used only to inflate the premiums that were paid to one of Walker’s friends in the insurance business. They all just play a game with the peoples money. Pickering wants to book the highest amount possible in each case to look important. Spending $5.00 to collect $1.00? Not his problem. Collecting the money? Well that is another agencies job.We seem to have a crook in every boat, pickup truck, motor home and public office these days.We will have an opportunity to address this problem on Tuesday. Please do your part to rid ourselves of these crooks in the empty starched shirts.

  8. On the eve of the election lets pray that all Mississipians awake Tuesday with a burning desire to vote and shoot down as many sick MFing Elephants as possible especially the ones that eat shite out of other Elephants’ a-holes, ones with the biggest balls and those that blow their own hot air over themselves
    Hints: Choice example
You take a poo in one of these everyday.
Last name rhythms with ” No Way”

    Viva la Mississippi !!!

    1. LOL

I think I have an idea of what rhymes with “No Way” and when I excrete human waste into the commode I typically refer to it as something in regards to

      “taking a McKay”,

      “taking a Miller”, or

      “taking a Pickering.”
