Jim Brown: Miss USA Trumped by Immigrant Debate!

Thursday, July 9th, 2015
Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Donald Trump sure has things stirred up right now down here in the Bayou State. International television attention was supposed to highlight Baton Rouge and the whole state of Louisiana. But coverage of the Miss USA pageant has turned more on “The Donald” and his incinerating remarks about illegal immigrants, as his rives up his presidential bid.

Trump will certainly be talking about his immigration proposals in the days he is spending in the capitol city. The joke going around the state capitol is that, despite all the controversy, Trump will at least spend more time here than Gov. Bobby Jindal, who continues to criss-cross the country in his quixotic effort to make a dent in national presidential polls.

Where Jindal’s focus has been aimed at Muslims around the world, Trump has made no bones about his feelings towards those who migrate across the U.S. southern border. Who hasn’t heard his declaration:

“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. … They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems to us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”

Trump’s competitors for the GOP nomination immediately pounced on his remarks. “He’s doing this to inflame, to incite and to draw attention,” said Jeb Bush. “Really offensive,” carped ex Texas Gov. Rick Perry. ”Offensive, inaccurate and divisive,” said Florida’s Sen. March Rubio. Who could have imagined? A Republican candidate taking about “divisive” politics.

A number of Republican Party leaders are expressing concern that Trump’s comments undermine outreach efforts and are hurting the GOP brand. Hurting the brand? What brand? Republicans need to clean house and plug in to the concerns of the average American, particularly when it comes to immigration reform. The GOP brand doesn’t just need an upgrade. What it needs is for Bobby Jindal to come perform an exorcism! Continue Reading……….

  1. Recalling some infamous words, “You are doing a great job Brownie”…….

As the leftwing Press attempt to back Trump into a corner the Americans will see a person emerge stronger and more outspoken than Christie, who hugged Obama and said what a great job he was doing just weeks before the 2012 election, and Americans will rally to back Trump up against such BS Press attacks.

Ex-gov. Perry was made to look like a fool by Hannity cause when asked what part of Trump’s speech was a lie or untruth Perry could not point out one statement.

Jidal is moving up in the polls about as fast as a Elephant stuck in the river bed mud….

So there is only one cylinder you are not firing on Bronie–“Trump will not be President”—- I wouldn’t say that this early out Brownie –as a lot can happen in 18 months considering all that is wrong in America and the world. Anyway, I would love to see him force China to equalize trade deficits, Mexico gov’t stop illegals at their northern border, Putin to put his shirt back on/crappin’ in his riding pants and finally bring some manufacturing jobs $$$$$ back thereby jump starting the American economy.

    1. Locke. I like your opinions on this topic. I honestly beleive the way to keep the China issue at Bay is to simply slap an import tax on the companies who are off shoring and selling out to China.

As far as Mexico goes, that’s a joke altogether. Mexico and Mexican citizens won’t do shit because they are reaping the benefits of letting themselves be exploited for cheap labor with a good portion of the cash being put back into the Mexican economy. I think the only way to deal with that is to slam a huge tax on businesses who choose to manufacture goods in Mexico and employ Mexican labor.. If that does not work, then the only other logical choice is to use is force to keep them away. I think it’s clear the citizens of Mexico are too chickenshit to start a revolution and overthrow their government. It’s much easier to jump the fence.

Of course, None of this would ever happen due to the fact that there are too many steak holders in the game.

  2. Given at best all you can expect is that a candidate will promise to loot you the least, odds are that any and all special interests simply will go for the candidate who promises them the most at the expense of all others.
