Now for the rest of the story you’ll never see on 4 Investigates or in the Advocate as Slabbed updates Gates v Swartz

Welp folks, it appears Danny Abel and his adopted son Shane Gates aka Shane D’Antoni never even tried to serve their latest lawsuit on Judge Swartz. Vital background via three part series can be found herehere and here and in another post found here.

Recently Slabbed contacted the Louisiana ODC for comment on the agency’s inability to control rogue lawyers, especially the politically connected ones.  Team Plattsmier was too busy crushing Ashton O’Dwyer to comment.

  1. Unfricking believeable, Doug.

I cynically note that in other jurisdictions a federal judge should have tossed the whole ball of crap and lit up counsel and plaintiff for significant sanctions. Unfortunately, this is Louisiana, where government service=corruption, and a federal judge has to hold his nose and give a POS plaintiff his proverbial “day in court.” Indeed, a pessimistic federal judge, looking at how Louisiana disciplines its licensed professionals (please, no pun intended), would properly shrug his shoulders and refuse to do the dirty work which your good pal at ODC and company refuses to do.

  2. Personally, I think the defense attorneys have an obligation to bring a complaint with the ODC and the federal court equivalent. Public funds and resources are being spent to correct this naked delay tactic. You know he will appeal or take a writ on whatever the unfavorable outcome. It’s way past time for this conduct to end.
