Do you folks remember me saying I thought Alabama fans were “some of the most obnoxious fans in all of collegiate athletics”?

And I did while taking the opportunity to talk a bit of trash before the title game little over a week ago. This is not sour grapes either as the Slabbed Nation fully acknowledges Les Miles is Nick Saban’s bottom bitch as LSU was woefully unprepared for the game and Miles not only refused to adjust as he acknowledged after the game, he has gone into hiding which is not a good sign for a guy pulling down $3MM/year.

So enter some poor slob wearing LSU attire passed out at the Krystal’s near the dome and the French Quarter.  Some jubilant Alabama fan evidently teabagged him and actually took cyber credit,  meaning he is also a complete dumbass along the lines of Harvey Upkyke, the dumbass Alabama fan that poisoned some beautiful Oak Trees near the University of Auburn campus last year. More ominous for those that took part in the teabagging of the passed out LSU fan is that Brendan McCarthy wrote the local version of the story for the Picayune. I don’t think we’ve heard the last of it.

File this one under country boys gone to town.

    Uglypretty,

Actually, the term used to describe the crowd's "lack of action" is called, "diffused responsibility". It's a well-documented social phenomenon, that's responsible for those situations where people are actually witnessing a crime and do nothing. They all think someone else will intervene or call police. This is why, should anyone find themselves getting attacked in public, if you can, point at a specific person and tell them to get help. That puts the onus on a specific individual, thus breaking the spell of diffused responsibility.

Of course, if it's a situation like this, where you can't see/hear anything, you're kind of screwed.

  2. it goes without saying that the bama fans in this video are dumb rednecks. however, to call a passed out drunk male being teabagged in a krystal on bourbon st a sex crime is a joke. if teabagging a passed out drunk were a sex crime the newspapers would have to provide a special section for all the notices of white male college students turned sex offender. is walking by someone and "ripping one" a sex crime as well?

  3. Jr., I'll just assume that your ignorance of the law is similar to that of the moron who did this to the LSU fan. This is sexual battery, plain and simple, and I hope that Leon Canizzaro shows this guy just how funny his little escapade was:

    A. Sexual battery is the intentional touching of the anus or genitals of the victim by the offender using any instrumentality or any part of the body of the offender, or the touching of the anus or genitals of the offender by the victim using any instrumentality or any part of the body of the victim, when any of the following occur:
    (1) The offender acts without the consent of the victim.
    (2) The act is consensual but the other person, who is not the spouse of the offender, has not yet attained fifteen years of age and is at least three years younger than the offender.
    (3) The offender is seventeen years of age or older and any of the following exist:
    (a) The act is without consent of the victim, and the victim is prevented from resisting the act

La. Rev. Stat. Ann. § 14:43.1

  4. And, another thing, while I am at it, what self-respecting, male would find humor in putting his nut sack on another male. He obviously has some repressed homosexual tendencies that he might want to take out on the farm animals when he gets back to Bama.

  5. yes, in the letter of the law it was cut and dried sexual battery. that being said, to put teabagging a drunk in krystal burger in the same category as rape, molestation and incest makes little sense to me. that is what i was attempting to get across.

  6. jr: And just what category of the law WOULD you put it in? The LSU fan was incapacitated ( by whatever means and cause) and some sexually deviant BAMA fan attacked him. WTF?!! Agreed IAMANGRY…find the BAMA fan and send him where he can be teabagged.

    1. When I was a teenager we painted a guys nails and died his hair while he was passed out. I understand what Jr is saying but we didn't have camera phones either.
