  1. Forgive the double post, but:

Hate to be the one to break the news but today is for arraignment only. In other words today is the day Lord of the Flies pleads

  2. Good thing you have spies in Oxford Hendry as Slabbed’s got a job adjusting insurance claims and got the heck outta dodge. I got a phone number and a name though.

If you should get the good word first be sure to let us know what transpired today. Thanks.

    1. Hatfield I’ve tried calling the Oxford Muni clerk’s office a couple of times today to no avail. I suspect they are busy today. :-)

      I’ll stay on it.

  3. I don’t know what actually happened but I think an errand boy was sent to enter a not guilty plea and to ask for trial date.

One more example of an accused violent criminal using legal skullduggery to delay justice for the victim.

Still, you have got to hand it to the boys of the Miasma Control Unit for being there to protect the good folks of Oxford. I tell you they looked snappy as all get out in their jumpsuits with the high-pressure tanks on their backs, kinda like Ghostbusters.

However, if the trial is set for late summer they are going to have to do something about the insects. You have never seen anything like the flies buzzing around the well-fed quinella. Late in the year there’ll be typhus to worry about.

  4. For whatever reason Hendry’s first comment made me think of ghostbusters it did, guess it was the slime. I could just go over to the NMC site and ask how did things go for him in court today. I’ve never had any problem dealing with asking the truth of anything but offten find others no so willing to be honest. Boy just thinking of the reply makes me want to do it, but since Mikey isn’t around let’s ask bellesouth. And although I’m just joking don’t dare me!

    1. There is no place on NMC’s blog for you to posit the question and be on topic Robert so I wouldn’t recommend that. Shooting him an email is a different thing altogether though.

  5. Another double post, sorry, I can’t help it.

I have resisted commenting on the similarities between the Strauss-Kahn affair and the accusations against lawyer/blogger Tommy Freeland (that he barged into a woman
