Now about that Sunday morning song…
Times were hard and things were bad…
but we’d get together in a family circle singing loud
After helping Steve with his post and asking a lot of questions, it seems to me the folks getting the bulk of the billions of taxpayer dollars – namely AIG and their counterparties, were attracted to Credit Default Swaps because there was no tax liability.
Yo! If they’d paid taxes on those trillions of dollars, we wouldn’t be going broke bailing them out! We’ve said all along – they’re all in this together – and before we get down to the point where there’s nothing left to give them but our last 40 acres and a mule, we need to listen to them sing their song.
Daddy sang bass,
Mama sang tenor.
Me and little brother would join right in there.
I’m still not certain if Ed Wilson was “little brother” who “joined right in there” or if he broke the circle but…
Singing seems to help a troubled soul.
One of these days and it won’t be long.
I’ll rejoin them in a song.
I’m gonna join the family circle at the Throne.
Nonetheless, what is a circle to some is a noose around the neck of others!
No, the circle won’t be broken.
By and by, lord, by and by
Daddy’ll sing bass, Mama’ll sing tenor
Me and little brother will join right in there
In the sky, lord, in the sky.
